Check the box for each symptom that applies to you. The more symptoms on the list that a person has – or the more intensely they are experienced – the more likely it is that these symptoms are caused by a deficiency/imbalance of zinc.

Cuts, wounds, sores heal slowly.

Hair or nails grow slowly.

Loss of sense of smell or taste.

Catch colds, flu, infections easily.

Brittle nails.

White spots on fingernails.

Acne.

Stretch marks.

Sterility or impotence.

White coating on tongue.

Loss of appetite, anorexia.

Sleep disturbances.

Diarrhea.

MALE: Prostate problems, low sperm count.

MALE: Delayed sexual maturity.

CHILDREN: Growing pains, stunted growth.

Food sources: steak, lamb, wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, eggs, ground mustard, liver, mushrooms, oysters, seafood, soybeans/tofu. Supplementary range: 25 to 95 mg. daily.
